Family in Nyangusu Kisii is tracing their daughter who went missing after she was sent home from St Teresa’s girls Nyangusu for reporting late from half term on the 26th June 2018.
Millicent Chiech a form four west student Adm No. 4419 did not arrive home and has not been seen since then.
Her mother Flora Mong’are who was not informed by the principal before sending her home says the student was held up to repair her shoes a reason that delayed her arriving in school at 3pm, 2hrs and 30mins late from the stipulated reporting time of 12:30pm.
“My Daughter left home late because her shoe was thorn and she had to repair it. Am told she arrived in school at around 3pm and instead of the principal calling me, she chased her back with other students. When i arrived in school the principal told me the student arrived at 6pm and she chased her,” Narrates Flora.
Flora says she recorded statement with the police and Nyamache Education office but since then nothing has come out nor nobody has called her to give results on the investigation.
“I went to the police and recorded a statement,Then I moved to Nyamache Education office and recorded a statement too but since then i have not been given any report. The principal did not give any report to the offices and she is not telling me anything,” Said Flora.
Flora has said the principal has called her teasing her to stop destroying the name of the school and cease from using it where she is loitering.
“The principal called me and said i stop tainting the name of the school where am loitering,” Said Flora.
We called Sister Uslah the school principal but she declined giving information referring us to the police.
Flora is now appealing to the Ministry of Education to come on board and help her trace her daughter back to class for she is about to sit for her exams.
