Eight students of Kisii Boys National School have been released on a bond of Ksh200,000 each over charges of arson.
The students who were arrested on Wednesday last week were arraigned on Thursday at Kisii law court where they were accused of arson.
The eight suspects were accused of willingly and unlawfully setting fire a dormitory valued at Ksh6,398,279 property of Kisii National School.
Appearing before senior residents Magistrate Ezekiel Obino on Monday, the suspects who pleaded of not being guilty were charged with arson contrary to section 332(9) of the penal code.
The charge directed them to be released on a cash bail bond of Ksh 200,000 each and cash bail of 50,000.
The case will be mentioned on 20th August 2018 and will be heard on 3rd December 2018.
