Install CCTV in schools to Curb criminals, Maangi tells Ministry of Education.

Kisii  Deputy  Governor  Joash  Maangi  has appealed  to the Ministry  of Education to  install  CCTV cameras in every  school  for surveillance.

This came after  Kisii National School  dorm was set ablaze on Tuesday night.

Speaking at Kisii  National School,  the deputy  governor  said that CCTV Cameras  are the ones  which fished out the suspects.

Maangi said that the move is meant to curb  theft  among  students  and will promote  discipline.

“Installation of  CCTV will  save  difficult  situation like vandalism and burglary,” said Maangi.

According  to him installation  will  be an easier  way  to instill  discipline  on students.

He noted that  the system provides evidence in case of illegal acts by students even in secret places within the school.
