Wire Dorm in Kisii high school was reduced to ashes on Tuesday night at around 9pm.
Reports say students were not in the dorm when it caught fire. Nothing was saved and no student was injured.
According to one teacher who spoke to the Daily Clock and requested anonymity said, they suspected electric fault but high chances lie on arson from outside for the dorm is located adjacent to the highway.
“Students are safe but nothing has been saved. We suspect electric fault or an arson from outside because the dorm is next to the highway and our students are very calm,” Said the Teacher.
Other unconfirmed reports say the students we denied chance to watch World cup which might have led to the cause.
Up to the time this story was posted, The students were calm as the Authorities seek a safe place where the affected students will spend their night.
The fire was managed by the Kisii county fire engines as serious investigations commence to determine the exact cause.
