Police in Migori County have nabbed 122kgs of bhang on Migori-Kisii highway.
The drugs which were estimated to be worth KSh1 million, were suspected to have been on their way from Tanzania via Sirare-Isibania border, Police say.
This has come only 2 days after a woman was arrested on the same route with 20kgs of the same drug packed as food stuffs.
According to Migori County Police Commander Mr. Joseph Nthenge, The police blocked the Matatu at Mabera area on Thursday night. The Driver and the Conductor escaped but they are launching investigations to arrest them.
Joseph has Said Sealing the drugs and packaging them like foods and second hand clothes is the newest trick the drug traffickers are using to transport drugs.
“We already know this trick. They package them and usually transport them at night. We warn them that we will not rest and they will never escape,” Said Joseph.
