Kenyans woke up with sad news after flames of fire razed Gikomba market leaving a toll of 15 dead as over 60 others sustain injuries on Wednesday night.
According to the Nairobi regional Commissioner William Kang’ethe, The fire broke out around 2:30am inside a timber shop near the Nairobi River.
Those injured receiving treatment at KNH and members of the public have been urged to be patient as the hospital is completely setting up a help center outside the hospital to help relatives trace their loved ones.
As at now movement to the wards has been restricted to avoid infections but relatives can get information from the already set up information center at the hospital.
A team of Firefighters, Police and Officials from Kenya Power and Lighting Company,Kenya Red cross and St.Johns Ambulance at the scene battling the fire.
