Angry youths on Sunday stormed the Nakuru Railways Police station where Nakuru Town West MP Samuel Arama is being held since Friday night demanding his immediate release.
The rowdy youths were protesting against what they termed as refusal by the Police to grant bond to the law maker who was arrested by EACC detectives for alleged land scam.
“We want him released. Arama is our leader, He has not stolen or killed anyone, why is he being held since Friday?” The youths demanded.
On Saturday,the Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji approved six charges to be preferred against the law maker on Monday.
The charges included abuse of office, Conspiracy to defraud, Making a document without authority, Uttering a document with intent to deceive, Obtaining registration of land by false pretenses and knowingly misleading an investigator.
