Nairobi County Executive in charge of Devolution and public service management Ms. Veska Kangongo has been sent home by City Governor Mike Mbuvi sonko.
In a letter, Kagongo is accused of defying his boss orders of not traveling to the US on Friday 1st 2018.
“It has come to attention of this office that you traveled to the United States on 1st June 2018 having received express instructions from the Governor not to proceed with the trip,” Reads the letter from County Secretary Peter Kariuki which was addressed to Ms. Kagongo.
However no explanations as to why Sonko ordered Kagongo not to fly to the Us.
“Your Failure to obey lawful instructions from your appointing Authority is tantamount to insubordination and therefore you are hereby directed to step aside from duties as County Executive Committee Member Devolution and Public service Management and proceed on leaving pending of satisfactory response as to why you traveled without express authority,” The letter continues.
The CS has been given seven days to submit her response. She has been asked to vacate office immediately.
