Kenya National Congress party leader Manson Oyongo Nyamweya has bitterly condemned corruption scandals rocking the jubilee administration asking the president to take serious actions against the suspects.
Speaking at a presser meeting with journalists in Kisii town on Friday morning, Oyongo has asked president Uhuru Kenyatta to take serious action by reconstituting his government and eliminate any top government official who has been alleged with corruption cases.
“The problem which we are experiencing with NYS and other organizations i think is a small scale. The president should take full action in fighting corruption probably by reconstituting his government again” Said Oyongo.
Oyongo who lost the Kisii county Governor seat to James Ongwae of ODM party in August 2017 has raised concern on Maize scandal saying the government should consider paying farmers their money.
“Another issue here is that the government should look for money and pay the farmers. To say they don’t have money to pay farmers is running away from responsibility” Added Oyongo.
He urged both National and County government to take seriously procurement procedures to avoid such scandals in future.
